Im getting used to the 2 stroke sound they just sounded wimpy to me when i first herd them!! but im starting to like them more now since i am getting a 2 stroke i better get used to it!! i just like the 4 stroke bellow they give when you gas it right before the jump or coming out of corners that sounds really awsome to me i havent had the privige to hear a 2 stroke right before a jump or anything like that well except for a cr 125 and cr 80 with a pro circuit pipe on it but those are wimpy to me i cant wait to hear my 250r!! when i get it

 

I just love the sound of my CR500. Not exactly what I would call wimpy. MrCrazyfoot, Im guessing youve heard a lot of 125's and 80's. I do enjoy my ktm's bark when it comes on the pipe too.

 

I have been around a stock Polaris trailblazer, it sounds horrible, and a couple of banshees with some kind of aftermarket exhaust. They sounded better but still not as good as a four stroke. I have been around countless dirt bikes, all sounded bad to me.

 

It seems that 2 strokes are a sound you have to get used to.
The way I see things it like this four strokes are a big F 250 with flow master exhaust, and 2 strokes are the little Hondas with the fart pipes. The people with the Ford trucks hate the sound of the Honda fart pipes. And the Hondas feel the same about the F 250. Its just what you have been around and have come to love.

I like the sound of banshees with drag pipes. My kfx sounded alright when it was stock but it sounds way better know

 

IMO With a full sytem pipe I think the YFZ and Raptor sound almost the same. I have a stock YFZ and when the powerband kicks in it sounds just like the YZ-450 Dirt bike(consedring they have the same engine.) I have rode with a friend who had the Big Gun Evo X full kit and it sounded awsome on a YFZ. Im thinking about getting the EvoX full sytem for my YFZ. So to stay on topic Ive never heard a two stroke run before all Ive heard are just big bore qauds(YFZ,Raptor,ect). Quick question I have a neighbor with a Honda 250X with a 660 big bore kit on it and hes running it on achol I dont know if this would beat a Raptor or even be able to keep up what do you guys think. How much do you guys think this Honda 250X is worth cause I know hes thinking about selling it but he hasnt found a price quote.
