melting plastics

Default melting plastics

Alright so i don't want my plastics to melt on the right side rear fender where the pipe comes close. what can i put on them or the pipe to stop them from melting?

you can put a peice of reflective heat tape on the plastic...thats what i did.

where can i get this refective heat tape? and will it stick to the fenders if they get wet?

you apply it when its dry and clean...no mine has never come off. u should be able to ask for it at your local dealer.

That's what I did too, I got mine from a local engine builder. Sorry, Im not sure where you can buy it.

Its pretty popular stuff.........I'm almost sure you would find it at parts stores.......oriliey's.....napa, etc.....

i got this stuff called aluminium foil tape its prety much the same thing as what was on my stock plastics so thanks guys you were a big help[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

my wolverine came with it stock on my fender. disapeared a while ago but yeah its good stuff
