It sucks now that there making pretty much no 2 stroke bikes. I love 2 strokes they have lots of power and speed. but why is all the big name manufacturers stopping atv and dirtbike 2 stroke production?????

 

2-strokes can't meet federal emissions standards. Some of the new 4-strokes are more like a 2-stroke than the traditional 4-strokes are...........

 

Its going that way with snowmobiles too. The better fuel effiency, quieter running,ease of fuel injecting, and more tolerant of misjetting are all reasons 4 strokes are the motors of choice. It might not be such a problem with quads, but lots of snowmobiles burn down and sieze every year due to leaning...4 strokes will eliminate that.
There used to be cars which were 2 strokes, and it wont be long and even the weed wackers will be 4 stroke. Its the way the world is headed.
I dont really miss them..the newer 450 sportys accelerate almost as hard as the old 2 strokes used to.

 

Man I love the rush and the buzz on a two stroke, won't get it in any other 4-stroke.

 

polaris' CleanFire twin injector system is more efficient than 4strokes and cleaner burning. there is hope for 2strokes, just have to stick the technology to them
