Wondering what everyone uses to clean and care for there airfilter. What do you use to wash it. What do you spray on it to protect it while riding?

 

Matters what kind of air filter your talking, K&N or a foam filter? If K&N i use a K&N treatment and oil spary, foam i would use the PJ1 foam filter cleaner then the PJ1 foam filter treatment (super tacky)

uni, pj1, etc cleaners and oils for foam filters.

 

For foam filters the No-toil cleaner and oil works better than anything I have ever tried. Customers just don't ever clean their filters. I get some pretty dirty ones and the No-toil cleaner is amazing.

 

Spray on PJ1 cleaner (from inside out if you can) and let is sit a few minutes. Thoroughly rinse FROM THE INSIDE OUT with warm water. Dry completely! Saturate with Maxima FFT then squeeze out excess.

I use to use Maxima FAB spray, but I found that it doesn't penetrate into the filter unless you use tons of it, and that gets $$$$. FFT is the same stuff, just not in a spray can!
