glad to hear everything is working out with the Outlaw!!! Seems like its not giving u many problems!
I still have the old Warrior since $$ situation has been pretty low. My goal is to save for one for next fall/spring. Tell u the truth, I have been slacking on my research, but I'll definatley pick it up when I'm back in the market next year.
Please, still post ur reviews or even pic's of the ride(s).

I hated the Outlaw personally.

But then again I like my solid rear axle and the predictable handling. I found the Outlaw to be very sketchy when pushed hard.

If you are coming from a utility with IRS however the transition is probably smooth and easy to get used to.

But for hard fast riding it was not working for me..... I think the fact that the Polaris racers all went back to the Predator says it all in that respect.

I only know of Smiley and he does not race the Predator any more either. The other racers on the Outlaw had an outstanding year for its inagural year on the race circuit.

"Two GNCC Class Championships

"4-Stroke Stock A/B Racer Todd Rothermel and "Super Senior (50+)" Racer John Gallagher finished the 2006 GNCC meet on top of their respective classes. Rothermel finished the season with seven victories and two seconds with a total of 178 points. Gallagher had nine first place finishes, one second and one third with a total of 180 points.

Women's Pro Stephanie Parton hit the podium 10 out of 13 starts, with eight second place finishes and two third places, ending the season third overall in the Women's division, just one point behind Angel Atwell.

WORCS Stock
Stock A Racer, Jeff Bertuzzi dominated the Stock A class by hitting the podium for six first and two second places finishes over the nine-race meet. Bertuzzi lead the Stock A point standings at the break and never looked back."

Budwiser, Tests on sand dunes seem not significant with the Rekluse on the Outlaw. At high speeds an auto clutch does not seem to be helpful, except on the really steep and long hill climbs (then Rekluse shines). Oh yeah, Imperial Sand Dunes is a total zoo. 300,000+ off highway vehicles playing on the sand dunes on Thanksgiving weekend. Hundreds of accidents. Lots of drivers under the influence (DWI) and several fatalities.

A Rekluse does not make your machine an automatic, you still shift, but without the clutching. Using the Rekluse when operating a performance quad in slow rocky or heavily wooded terrain is extreme advantage. Rekluse allows you to go less than 1 mph if you want. The 2006 Outlaw has a great top end speed as other performance quads. However the low end to crawl needs either gearing down or auto clutch. By dropping one tooth in front, as I did several months ago I did improve my low end, but my top speed dropped from 71 mph to 45 mph. Using the Rekluse and changing to back to original front spocket, I got my top end speed back. Budweiser, since part of your goal was to make a performance quad crawl through rough terrain (trails), then I recommend installing a Rekluse. I found no disadvantage on downhills, perhaps a plus if you shift gears on long steep downhills. There are a couple things to keep in mind, if you put on a Rekluse. 1. $400 -$500 depending on the performance quad. 2. About every 50 hours or so, you should adjust the spacing or change out plates when they get worn. Rekluse gives you extra plates. Most users of Rekluse are motorcycle motocross racers using their bikes in heavily wooded terrain and steep hill climbs. About 1/3 of their market is in Europe.

To the Straight Axle Quad Riders, I choose 2006 Outlaw, because it is a performance quad that has high ground clearance and good suspension. I ride a lot of rocky terrain and for the few straight axle riders that show up in the areas I ride, they cuss as the rocks hit and dent their skid plates and straight axles. The 2006 Outlaw is not the fastest quad, but it clears the rocks. If I mostly rode areas without large rocks, I would probable go with a straight axle.
