I own a Banshee. I love it alot, People are allways saying it's not very good on trails or Track. Now I haven't Rode it on a track but on a trail I can keep up or blow away whoever I ride with. So if i was going to Pick the best Quad out it would be. The new Suzuki 450. From the factory it is the most Race ready. now for stock power the Zilla hands down. those are arm Rippers. the 660 Raptor is a great machine too I have a buddy with one and stock for stock he couldn't beat my Shee. there just a little top heavy. the yfz450 is a real good machine so is the z400. but as long as your havin fun on the Quad then it's a good quad.

 

Best quad of all time...Meaning over the last 20 years...Im going to say the banshee..Couse its still going stong...Im a BIG rappy fan..Just look in my pic page we got everything from a 4 mill cub banshee to a CrayCraft 760 stoker...I like them all...[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

i want to say the Z400, any1 can ride it. Whether their a beginner or advanced rider. It can be modded to suit your riding needs, whether it's trails, track, or dunes. and their's plenty of aftermarket out there for it, overall i'd say it's the most versitle atv that can apply to almost every1

i dont think it's fair to rate a quad just by power, any quad is fast if u have enough money to put into it

 

I've got to go with the TRX 250R...

Not because it was raced in every possible combination (successful in most) but rather because it is a very simple and rugged bike to work on that anyone can ride well, it requires very little maintenance (for a 20+ year old two stroke), performs well in the woods, dunes, open trails: basically everywhere (including the racetracks), has held (or increased) its value up until recently, and has essentially set the benchmark for aftermarket and OEM engineering for many years...

No matter what "modern" machine you choose, many of its design and practical components can be traced to the original 1986 TRX 250R...

Most people say that 250R's are tops because that's what won races... I feel that it is tops because of its design elements and rugged construction... Basically, it's the small-block Chevrolet of the ATV world...

 

i think it is the 250r as well, and one step down the banshee. the 250r for the fact that it was only made for a few years and 20 years later, still a very popular machine. the banshee is also awesome in that it has been in production for so long

 

I'm kinda new to the atv world and I've only been riding for about 2 years, but I absolutely love my Predator 500. It's only my second atv and my first was a raptor. I've ridden some of my buddies quads, like a yfz450, z400, raptor 700, and bombardier ds650, but I still like the Predator better. As a matter of fact, that's how I came to own one; I rode my buddy's predator and everyone else's quad, and I picked the Predator to buy.

 

This is open and shut question with no room for debate. The best quad of all time must have enduring qualities. A two year run just will not make the cut. We are not asking what is the best quad of 2006 or 2007. There are absolutely only two choices for best of all time. These would be the Honda 250R and the Banshee. I could go on for days about why either should win. I will keep my Bansh and continue looking for the pristine 250R, maybe even one with a CR500 motor. Oh ya!!!

 

Its whatever you want in a quad.2-strokes arent always the best.4-strokes are going to take over eventually.I like the 450r's and my ds650 and also love the predator.But for all different things.My ds wipped the 450's on the ruff terain,but i didnt even atempt to race mx with them.But the predator was the all around best to me.Im happy with my ds650x for certain things but i dont like it for trails(to wide sometimes).But love it for the dunes.My cousins 450's are awesome for wheellies,mx,ect.I just like the predator also.Z400 good,raptor 660 alright,raptor 700 awesome!,400ex good beginner,yfz450 awesome,700 br force cool looking.All these quads are good in there catagories to me.But thats just my opinion.

 

yeah, but the best so far have been 2 strokes. not because they are the fastest ir lightest, but because they are classics
