best quad ever?
Maybe if you could keep up with me on the tight technical trails,me on my 250 you on a 400z i would believe the 250 was not as good a woods quad as any 4 stroke. If im not mistaken the last division of racing to 'outlaw' 250's was gncc.I mean why do you think they got rid of the 250 in racing, not because it wasn't competitive,it was because it was hard to beat.Do you think honda and yamaha would be happy about losing to a 20 year old machine after all the money they have dumped into 4 strokes!!

250's, banshee's and zillas are all great bikes, but you have to take into accountabliaty they are hight maintnence compared to the 4 strokes. i know that when trail riding and getting into the technical stuff i like to be able to use the torque of the 4 strokes and not have to worry about fouling plugs doggin it. i would have to say if the honda, yamaha 450's had reverse they would be awsome trail bikes. thats where the raptor and the 400 trifecta of the kfx,z and dvx come in. i personally bought a raptor just for the reason of reverse over the 450's and the ds. i do have to give it to yamaha they had to be doing something right for the banshee to stay around for 19 years. IMO if it came down to having any wheeler to do every thing you could imagine i wouldnt trade my outlander for anything out there. I CAN trail ride all day long and still not be worn out. I CAN work it around the farm. I CAN take it to the state parks and do a lil racin'. I CAN take it to big river sand drags and do some bracket racin' and run 6.2 300 ft with 700lb bike with racks and a winch. its just so versitle, and it will still cruise down the highway at 75! CAN YOU?

dude, i would like nothing more (well some things) than to see honda get the 450R RIGHT and in time to be a legend like its predecessor. But if had to sell a quad right now i would sell the 450 before i'd sell the 250. Its not really about nostalgia as it is about its just a better handling, better balanced machine.

it was a 6.28 actually with my act's on the front and the carlile badlands on the back, winch and front bumper installed too. with a 280lb rider. (my buddy didnt have a bike to race) we were just messin around and he run that. i wish i still had the slip. i dont see why this is out of the question when THE BOM's wife went 5.2's on her 800 with paddles, exhaust and intake.

why do ppl say the 250r's are amazing are they better than zillas or lt250r's? honda and suzuki are in close competition with each other, it seems like they dont care about anything except beating each other. (for example, 400ex, z400, 250ex, z250) I think the lt250r's would be close to as good as the 250r's the lt250r weighs only 320 some pounds
