How about this ...

Take the KTM 950cc Super Enduro V-twin dirt bike engine that makes 100 HP stock, and put that in a YFZ chassis with 12" travel Ohlins suspension. That would work.

 

500cc 2 stroke engine in a yfz

 

would a 500cc 2-stroke twin work for that?

 

i donno but i love 2 strokes and the yfz has great handling and great suspension

 

my dream bike has to be a big bad 2 stroke that every time you use it ,it scares the sh*t out of you

copy the 250r down to the last detail .... call it somthing else..
find a way to make it past the CARB emissions things(this is the hard part)
then sell it...before u know it u WILL be RICH!!!! i kid u not

There was actually a Chinese company that advertised a race 2-smoke 2-3 years ago (among a few other performance oriented atvs). Seems like they wanted about $4-5K for the quad though. Was all chromed out and wide. Looked nice on their ad. Don't know if they ever sold one but they had my attention. Then they just sort of fell off the face of the earth.
