If you were to design your dream quad, what would it have?
I'm just bored, but i thought it would be interesting to see what everyone would pick if they could choose any options.
Here's my dream quad:
500cc single cylinder 4 valve engine, electric start, fuel injection (with an oxygen sensor, so no power programmers to adjust the a/f mix)
46 inches wide (perfect width for a mix of trail riding and aggressive riding)
6 speed wide ratio manual clutch transmission with reverse (with a reverse select lever, not one of those annoying "hold a button and jiggle the shifter" setups)
selectable 4 wheel drive
front and rear chain drive (less weight and more gearing options than shaft drive)
Fully independent suspension, front and rear, with ohlins shocks all around
Full aluminum skids
5 gallon gas tank to ride all day with no refueling
Analog speedometer and tach
stainless dual exhaust, just because it looks cool
The reliability of an old honda- because I hate it when stuff breaks or doesn't work right!!!

If you were to design your dream quad, what would it have?
First off, my dream quad is a desert racer. The Honda 450R is the king of the desert! The little 450 just keeps winning every long distance desert endurance race there is: Baja, Vegas to Reno, etc. So, I ALREADY OWN MY DREAM QUAD!
Beyond that, I would like to see the manufacturers truely embrace the concept of a lightweight, selectable 2wd/4wd, hybrid sport quad. Kind of the Wolverine concept, taken to the extreme.......

yeah I would like to see something like that also a light weight sport utility 4x4 but other than that I am really happy with my cannondale so i would say i also already have my dream quad already [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
