who cares
the YFZ is a 450 racer
the predator is a pure sport trail quad
they're designed to do different things, so a thread comparing them is rediculous

If I recall the predator was intended to be a racer out of the box and though many consider it to be strictly a trail sport they're forgeting it is a performance machine with features you generally only find on a race-preped quad which makes it a race-ready quad! So in this regard there is no penalty or comparing the two IMO!

thats what seperates these machines, the predator can be set up for racing, but out of the box, it's just a go everywhere sport quad that can do w.e u want it to do
they each accel in their own areas..
theres alot more to quads then just top speed (not bashin the drag racers, cuz it takes alot of ***** to do that to) but they're both fast a$$ quads, end of story, u can make either one faster then the other, depending on how much money u want to put into it, any quad is capable of totally hauling a$$

and to agree with Skier, the YFZ's motor Redlines at 11,500 if im not msitaken, with the stock CDI box. an aftermarket one would put it at 12,000? 12,300? the Predators motor redline is 10,500 and 11,000 with an aftermarket box, even in stock fasion, the YFZ has 1000 more RPMS and still has a edge with the predator tuned.
YFZ's powerband are like 2-strokes, they dont work very well untill they get their upper RPMS. the predator is a fast relatively light trail quad that for its first time ever racing in the GNCC it won an overall THIRD. that has to speak for something.
now shut up and quit argueing over this bullsh*t, its never going to get you anywere AND they're 2 completely different quads.
and not to mention, Doyle dosnt know what the hell hes talking about, ever. i mean look at his rig, its baby blue and has mini horns on it!
