Is 56hp possible on an lt-r450 with these mods?
I got my second issue (may 2007 issue) of ATVRIDER today, and i saw an article in there, "long term haul" "2006 suzuki lt-r450 wrap-up"
It claimed that it was able to "crank out 51-plus horsepower simply by adding a CT pipe and plugging in an M-80 performance module" smells like a bunch of bull
It also claims that after a JE13.5:1 piston, dynatek fuel programmer, "head got a valve job" (porting), "worked over the cylinder head", and a webcam.
Do you think that is even possible, i saw in another thread that the lt-r450 has 41 or 42HP at the crank stock, can you add 14hp just by doing that?

easily... the chip adds 7 hp, the programmer can probably push out another 2-4, then add the hp gain you get out of doing the engine "guts" and the airflow the exaust system adds...
Im sure there is a way to get more than that out of it. All i plan on doing is adding the chip to the exaust system ive already got and leaving it at that. im not willing to sacrifice durabilty on it yet. As it is, all you do is add the chip to a stock LTR and its just as powerful or more powerful than any raptor.

well they cherry bomb is supposed to give u 7hp with juss takein off the lid and uncorking ur stock pipe and with a yoshi slip on i think its gives u around 12hp gain with the cherry bomb also but there is a set of dual exhaust pipes the looney tune pipes they say that their pipes give u 14 hp by their selfwith no other mods so i say it might be possible to get 10 outta the m-80 and that pipe u gotta look the ltr is corked down so bad in its stock form its not even funny they have it set up to where the 400's have as much top end but after u change a few things u will see the real power they have the thing im doin to myne is goin to mods3.com adding their stage 1 power kit with the EFI controller and buyin the yoshi rs5 offa rocky mountian and it will run me about 650.00 but i will have a spare cherry bomb to sell and make around 30 to 40 dollars back

I'll be the first to say, "ya, I think it's bull". There is not much left in these engines for bolt on's. They are a factory race engine.
I look at it this way. It's easy to double the HP of lets say a 200 horse 350 small block. Now take a full on factory race engine. Lets say an LS6. See if you can double the HP on one of those. Ain't going to happen.
It's very hard to get an more HP out of a race engine.
Unless these things are really plugged up pipe wise from the factory, it's going to be a tall order.
