ITP holeshot vs. Maxxis Razr
#3
I agree, my holeshot gncc i had now for six weeks or so and they still look new. Had a pair( ITP) on my old Warrior and never had any problems and last a very long time. I heard good things about the Razr also

Saying "Holeshot" is like saying you ride a "Suzuki". There are a dozen different Suzuki models, and there are a dozen different models of "Holeshots"!
I ride desert cross-country, and the local mountains (woods trails). I tried the iRazers, and they were absolutely terrible! Blocks are to few and to widely spaced. No traction...all they do is spin....
Have been running Holeshot XC's for years, and occasionally Holeshot XCT's when I felt like I needed more ground clearance.
Tried Holeshot H-D's briefly, and they did not do well in my conditions. The rear end squirmed all over the place on hillclimbs. Word is that the rubber has been reformulated twice now, and that may improve the ride...but I'm not willing to spend the money to find out!

the razr2 are bulkier and heavier, but i think they last longer then the holeshots. I'm getting razr2s next week, i like them because they got real good side bite and help with the deep ruts.

Wow I'm surprised you hated the IRAZRs.... everyone I know loves them.....
The large spacing is because they are radials, they allow bigger spaces and better cleaning.
I guess for hardpack they are not the best, but for the variety of stuff we ride in up here in NY-State the IRAZRs are great.....

i have holeshots along with practicly everyone else i ride with. personaly they are much better then maxis. i have holeshot HD's and they work perfectly for what i use them for. they grip great wen i need them to and they slide wen i need them to. maxis razr2's are rubbish compared to the holeshot HD's.

They are pretty equal in performance. The Holeshots last a tad longer because of the harder compound they are made from. The Razr2's have a little bit of a better bite because of the soft compound.
