Default Yamaha Blaster troubles

hi, i have a 01 yamaha Blaster and it is just not running smooth and i noticed a plug missing and i was wondering if it had anything to do with it not running smooth. Here is a picture so you know what i mean:

Have not owned a Blaster in many years, so I can't recall what goes there. But, looks like it would let a lot of dust into somewhere!

See if you can find an engine diagram, or look at the pictures in the owner's manual....

Default Yamaha Blaster troubles

hey i just ran out and looked on my sisters blaster. I have a rubber plug in that hole. Not 100% sure what it is used for but i'm 100% sure it needs to be there before you run it! If you are still interested i can take a picture and post it tomorrow. (post if you want a pic!)

from what i can tell on the yamaha website they dont show anything in the hole ill give you the url 4 it its http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/parts/home.aspx

and just find your atv and it will give you a picture of what everything is supposed to look like

i have a blaster, and that plup is the plug to the oil. im not quite sure what kind of oil it is it might be 30. yea u really need that cap

Ya you need the cap. If you don't get it your bike will only get more bessed.

you also need to check if you have oil in there. i was talkin to my friend and i think the oil in there goes in the crank case or somethin.

water cooling is optional? nice. :/

it more than likely has no case pressure without that plug. an 2 strokes won't run to well without that [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
