Quad for 200 bucks worth it????
#1
So its like this.... a local shop( its a little shop) run a older married couple has a old 80 suzuki 250 quad (im not positive what it is) sitting out back long story short some guy brought it to him over a year ago to be rebuilt or something( some work has been done on the engine not sure what). but the guy never paid for and after calling a calling the guy dozons of times nothing. so long story short its taking up space he want to get rid of it. well the quad it self i left out at this point it a frame wheels tires a seat and and handle bars. the guy that owns the shop said he would throw in the engine and everything else he's got ( i think the plasics if there are any also) he said for like $200 he'd sell it. ut my question would it worth doing ? i have a fair bit of know how a boyfriend with ton and all winter up here in wyo which other wise im just gonna sit and freeze my asrse off.

Well, $200.00 isn't much, but how much is it worth to you? Also, which model is it? In the mid to late 80's, Suzuki had a 250 2-stroke racer, a 250 4-stroke sport bike, a ute with no rear suspension, and a 4x4.

I just did the same , but found out I got a 93 model LT-F250, plastic is bad and front brakes and rear brakes missing all hardware. I paid $75.00 for the quad.
So I just got prices on the brakes parts alone was over $425.00
plastic will cost about the same.
and this one runs but had to clean carb , no problem, but it also smokkes like crazy needs top end done.
so . If you domn't mind bad or no plastics, it runs and no smoke, it has brakes
go for it otherwise IMHO leave it. look some more
I think we are going to put the engine/tranny in a small buggy

Better let your boyfriend look at it first to see what your going to put him through, or you may have no boyfriend down the road.LOL
