Honda 250ex Problem
So my friends, one on a 400ex, the other on a 250ex, and me on my 350 Rancher were driving through a river not too deep. Then the 400ex bottomed out, i was busy trying to catch a fish off my rack so the 250ex went in to push the 400ex 'til it was unstuck. The 250 was then bogged down and died. Not too deep in the water, but now it starts, but only idles, if you give it any gas it dies immediatly, changed spark plug and it's in the process of drying out, any ideas on what this problem is? My mechanic and I are stumped! and i did manage to grab one fish out of the water with my hand lol.

dry it out and try again
my 300 ex wouldnt start after washing it off one day
turns out there was water in the spark plug boot and on the ignition, i blew it off with an air hose and voila
also, probably not the case for you, but my friend bought a 300ex that the guy thought needed carb work
it would start and idle great, but once you gave it gas, it was a total dog, begging for mercy
turns out the CHOKE WAS ON
ahahahah
turned it off and it ran like a raped ape

"raped ape" LMAO thats awesome I've never heard that b4. Well my friend who is also the previous owner of the 250ex got it runnin in about 10mins. There was some stuff in the carb I guess, and he just held the starter while giving it full throttle and it was running great in no time. thanks for your help though
