EFI vs Carb
<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>Polaris doesn't use EFI on it's sport quads, because KTM won't give it to them</end quote></div>
KTM also does not use EFI on there MX or ATVs so I guess they would not offer it to Polaris. But Polaris does put EFI on there 500 Fuji motor for there Utilities but does not on the sport mined 500 Fuji Scrambler which I find odd.

I know KTM doesn't have it, even the bikes don't have it. They do have a really awsome carb set up going for them and would need to find an incredible EFI set up to make it worth while. Why does Polaris neglect the poor scrambler 500 that could be a really awsome sport machine, but they just refuse to update, I guess all the tooling is paid for and they still sell. That is like the Polaris that I actually like, if they would switch to shaft drive all the way around, a manual 2x4/4x4 selecter and ditch the struts, that would be a supurb quad. That new 550 motor would be nice too.

Have any of you guys checked out the new EFI system on the Suzuki, no battery. I dig that, less weight and one less thing to break.
If you want to see a sweet EFI aplication dig this.

The engine is flipped and the throttle body sits right on top, that and the subframe is plastic, go figure.
Would make an interesting quad.

As much as the 660 is a great machine for modding, and bore size to bore size the 660 can build greater power that of a 700, thoe the 700 is a much better allaround engine in a much better chassis. After owning my 700 with EFI I will never go back to a carb atlest for a every day quad. Simple bolt ons don't get any easy'r than the 700.Now with that said if all I was doing is drag racing/ duneing the carb is by far the way to go as they can be tuned for all the parambles for racing needs such as hig octane fuel and high compression!</end quote></div>
i cant agree with 100% of that. 700s are starting to take over fsa. they are getting these thing to 907cc and over 100hp with no turbo or n20. and stock bore/stroke 700 are making up 2 90hp now with no turbo or n20. i mean there is a crazy ammount of $ is that stockbore but its doing it. and once some better cams come out for the 700 its not going 2 be even funny. and what i like is with a aftermarket ingetion unit u can have 1 curving like for duning then one once u get to the hill and want to run n20
