Well, the Z400 was sold before I got a chance to look at it as well. The F-in guy told me at noon on Monday that it wouldn't work for me to come look at it on Monday night and was asking me when a different time would work. Since Monday afternoon I had left him 3 voicemails, 3 emails, and tried calling him about 12 times and he finally responds at 5:30pm tonight saying that it is sold. What an *******! I hate people that are like that!

 

Well, I ended up buying a 2004 KFX700 last night. After thinking about it a bit I decided that it was really a better fit for what I was looking for. I realize that it is "big & heavy" but so is my DS650 and I am fine with that. Plus, 90% of the time I won't be riding it. It will be my girlfriend & friends.

Anyway, thanks for all of your input.

Like what was said above, the 700 is a stab and steer quad. Just sooooooooo rider friendly and fun. Not the lightest or the fastest, but really fun and easy to ride. My 12 YO daughter rides it around my ranch all the time with no problems.

Please do us all a favor and ride the thing for a few weeks and come back here and let us know what "YOU" or your "GIRLFRIEND" thinks about it. After all, that is who needs too like it. Do a write-up good or bad. If you hate it, so be it, if you love it, so be it. Even compare it to your Bomb.

BTW congrats on your new KFX700.

 

Hi just a month ago I had the same thing going on 700 or 400 .. I settled on 400 congrats on your 700

 

It was the right price and I figured that it fit better for what I was going after. If it was for myself to ride I probably would have looked more seriously at a 400.

Alright, I will do that. It may be a few months unless I can get it out enough times this winter to play in the snow. I know that won't be as good of a test as dirt or sand but at least we will be riding it.

 

Get a the Z or KFX check the frame out close the early ones did crack frames if you jumped them hard. I love my Z it is light and very fast. I can hang with most big dogs.

I had already bought the KFX700 V-force. Not a Z400 or equivalent. I just haven't posted back on here yet because I really haven't ridden it much yet because it has been VERY cold here in Michigan.
