What do you take on long trail rides?

Anybody who rides 20-30 miles on trails knows that you don't leave unprepared. I always take a backpack with the following:
a)Small tool set & the stock tool set that came with the bike
b)Electric tape & duct tape
c)Tire plug kit & small hand pump
d)Thick rope and/or thin tow strap
e)Snacks & water
f)Extra pair of sweats, shirt, and socks
What do you pack?

I like to keep it light and fast. On a sport quad or dirt bike, I can only carry what I can put in a small to medium size backpack. But, even on a utility where I can carry much more, I keep it light and simple....
I ride desert in the cool months, so water is the most important thing one can take! In the hot months we ride the mountains where there is usually plentiful water, but you have to treat it before drinking.
Beyond that, for the quadI always take tools, tire patches, and a tow strap. For me, I always take a GorTex jacket, toilet paper, energy bars, poncho, and a basic "survival kit". For longer trips in more remote terrain (where I would be on a Rancher), I can add more gear like additional clothing....depending on the weather.

I grab my Camel Back that I use for mtn biking. It always has a couple Cliff bars, multi-tool, small first aid kit, and fire starter.
The quad has tire patch kit, mini foot pump, a few tools, spare spark plug. If it comes down to it, there is also an extra tow strap in my winch accessory kit, that lives on the front rack.
We've pulled 100 mile days at times, so walking back to the truck isn't really an option...
