Just my opion-SPANKED by wrong setup for sand.<IMG SRC="http://208.32.63.13/ubb/deadhead.gif">

I would try.
14/39 gearing
22-inch eight paddle tire.(alot of tire to turn)
w-all my mods to date.

Reason-To get the meat of the power ban/torque to ground at best rpm.Probably third gear at 9800rpm ( more tire spin more dig). With front wheels just glancing the ground as your climbing the hill. Then cresting the top into the air.

Yeaa baby yeaa!!!! Getting itchy to ride.

Pardon me for a stupid question, but if I were to take a trip to a place like Glamis or Silver Lake, would I NEED paddle tires or would the stockers still perform well enough to have some fun without getting burried up to the frame?

You'll have TWICE as much fun with paddles, not to mention not being so hard on the machine trying to get you were you want to go with the stockers. Spend $200 and get some paddles and wheels.

The problem is... without paddles, you get tons of wheel spin, and not much movement. Lots of people run without paddles, and you certainly could too. If you just want to try duning, then don't bother for your first trip. If you're planning on doing it alot, then buy some.
