I like the DG Race Peg Nerf Bars!!! I also run their Baja skid plates! (They are in Orange County, and I usually just order from them direct,)
As for boots, I was riding a dirt bike yesterday, and got my foot jammed by a root. I was wearing Alpinestars Tech 4's, and that was not enough boot for protecion in this case!!! In the future, I will be wearing Tech 10's or 12's!!!

For boots, I would recommend Alpinestars Tech 3 All Terrain's, minimum! They have a waffle sole, which is great if you do any walking.

Paying $200-500 for a pair of boots, often puts folks off. I notice that Chaparral has some Ocelot boots for around $90. These are entry level models for sure, but on a quad you don't have as high a threat level as you get on a dirt bike. If you can find ones with a waffle sole vs smooth, go with those.
