Fastest I've gone on a quad was my nephews predator. Had it up to about 65 when the front end starting to wobble a little.
Realized that even if I went faster (it had the power to) I'd much rather fall off in the dirt doing 25mph than out there on the street doing 60.

My old modified 91 250ex tickled 60mph up against the rev limiter. the stock 300ex (mine is a 93) is about 55 against the limiter on heavy carcass tires (20" flattrack tires lower speed). honda softened the valve springs and took a few hundred rpm away on the 300ex to improve the low end torque.
I am dismayed to find they now call my ole girl an entry level quad...the dang 300 was a freaking baja winner with a 1-2-3 finish. entry level my butt. thats like calling the P51 a trainer airplane.
