Your friend is lieing. Tops out at about 50-55 mph

 

I have a 1995 Honda TRX300ex and there is always those lucky wildcard quads that outperform the other stock ones with no aftermarket, I think I have one of those I got mine tested at the side of my dads gmc, it was 60-65 mph, but with all the aftermarket parts I put on it I could of bought a new one, they go around 50-58 stock.

 

he was in 4th. I used a gps to verify the top speeds I have stock 13 38 gears and 22inch rear tires so stock size. All gears were taken to the revlimiter 1st is 20mph 2nd is 28mph 3rd is 39mph 4th is 50mph 5th is 61mph.

 

A few days ago,me and my friend downloaded a top speed app on his phone and his ran 67 in fourth and he still had another gear

 

then you need some work done to his atv,becouse i used to kwn a 1998 honda 300 ex,with no more then 500 dolars,re gearing,a new exhoust for better backpressure,and a new hotrod crankshaft i hit 72,but stock,my 300ex toped out at 62,it sounds like ur sons atv has blow by,or need regular maitnence,

🤣 i dunno what's stupider... you responding to a decade old post, or the fact you think my wife didn't ride her own 300ex at the time of the post 🙄 🤣 now my 11 yo rides his 300ex.

 

I’ve had my 2003 300ex on phone app barely getting over 60mph 58-61 is about all she wants basically bone stock with HMF slip on and K&N air filter.
