Hey All Im new to the site and would like to ask the age old question "what quad should I get" I have it narrowed down to 2. Can Am DS450 or KFX 450R. Any info on the two would be great. But please no bashing I would just like some comparison from people who have rode one or the other or both. I realize it is a Ford Chev Dodge thing. But any help would be great. I should mention that it will be mostly trail rides and ice racing in the winter. Thanks agian all.

 

Both are good quads. Can Am was putting some seriously sweet deals on the ds a while back. If you can find a left over I would look into that first. Otherwise both have some quirks, but nothing that can't be tuned out or solved aftermarket.

 

I have no experience at all with the DS450, I have some buddies with the KFX450. I can say as Scooter said you'll be adding aftermarket quick. They sure did. The KFX just seems sluggish compared to the other 450's. I've heard this is solved with upgrades.
