Tonight I picked up a 2006 Arctic Cat DVX 400, plastic ls pretty much perfect, just dirty, it was owned and driven by a teenage girl until the motor developed problems, I was told the compression was about 50 psi. Needs the basics...chain, sprocket, brakes. It has the large heel guard nerf bars, aftermarket grab bar,and a White Bros exhaust. I am pulling the plastic tomorrow to check out the motor, probably looking at a top end rebuild.
I would appreciate any feedback from Z400 / DVX 400 owners on best set up for trail and pit running, as far as gearing, motor mods, etc. Got my eye on an aluminum air box to get rid of the crappy plastic one with the questionable air filter sealing system.
and the best part........I got it for 700 bucks, so I can afford to put some parts in it.
