Do stock blasters have keys?

Do stock blasters have keys?
I have a 1999 Yamaha blaster I bought on kijiji in October and there is no key. You just start it. I have seen videos on YouTube and you can sometimes see people turning a key. I am wondering if one of the previous owners of my blaster took it off or if it is an aftermarket thing
