I have a 03 Predator 500 that wono start without giving it some throttle, and wont stay running unless i give it throttle. Need Help!!

 

does turning the idle adjustment screw help any? If not, i am leaning to a good carb cleaning will need to be done. how old is the gas in it?

The idle air jet is plugged. If you clean your carb and make sure you can see light through the jet. Take a blow gun and blow out all holes in bowl area. Spraying it with carb and choke cleaner. But most of all just make sure it's clean before you put the bowl back together. Hopefully this will help you out.
