Why your at it add the GasGas Wild Hp 300 to it. I got the Dyno sheet to prove it puts out 42.7 HP to the rear wheels and weights in at 386 lbs.

The dnyo sheet is at GT Thunder along with pics of the new a-arms.

I think Yamaha has really turned a lot of knowageable people off by not taking care of the first year Raptor owners. I had a Warrior that was first year (1987), bought it new in 86, kept it 13 years. Changed the oil & filter and never had a problem. My Banshee was never a problem either (just too damn slow). I can't see how Yamaha missed the boat on the Raptor...

And yes, the GasGas needs to be put in the list.

Sounds like the GasGas needs to go on a diet, that weight is alot higher than I would have expected them to be.

Truckracer
add the GasGas 300 2-stroke to the list. 386lbs @ 42.7 RWHP = 0.1106. That puts it in 2nd under the quadzilla.
The big thing that adds weight to the GasGas is the 1/8 wall tubing for the frame and the 4.5 gallon tank. Also little things like horn, nerf bars, .190 douglas rims on 4ply razor tires, big body shocks, so GasGas increased the weight buy give the owner alot more goodies. Change ans remove some of these things and I bet it would beat the Zilla.

Lt - I have already seen the GasGas. Do a search in here (I think Cannodale forum), I watched a guy buy one on the parking lot of Little Sahara (Waynoka), then ride in the dunes for a few hours and then drag race it. I was fairly impressed with the bike, however, the only drag racing he did was against the Raptors, Ds650's and Ex400s in attendance. He never lost, but he never ran it against any of the other two strokes there. We had a pair of Zilla's out, I would have loved to seen just how far the Zilla would leave em.

I remember reading that post awhile back. I would love to see a zilla and GasGas I think it would be an interesting race (greatest 2-stroke ever built vs the new kid or the Honda 250r replacement). Any way I'm sure the zila would win, but that would be the only one that could beat it.

In the new DW I got in the mail today they said Bombardier plans to shave 60 pounds of the DS for 2004 as well as some other handling modifications.
