Hey Raptordude, Nice pics. I ride October Mountain, Tolland and Pittsfield State forests too, where is that track you have in your pics? I have a Z400, and I will show you what it can do against your Raptor on the track. If you want to try it out, you will see that it is very evenly matched against your Raptor on trails and track. Of course in a drag you would win by a couple lengths, oh well. As far as the DS goes, you know as well as I that half the trails around here the DS can barely even fit down. LMAO

I have no doubt the Z400 would keep up on the track and trails I am quite sure it would do just fine. The better rider would probably be the faster rider. But in a straight line side by side if it is anything like a 400Ex it is no competition. Mind you I am not talking about 465 Alky ex's or even 440ex's haven't ridden with either of those just standard EX's with pipes and jetting and out on the open road it is not pretty and it is not just a couple bike lenths either. Not saying LTZ400 is like that because I don't know I can only go by what I read, until I ride or race one. In the latest Dirt Rag they drag raced a 400Ex and an LTZ 400 and it was only hundredths of a second difference over 150 yard drag race. And I know for a fact is not even close with my Raptor and a 400EX. You are dead right about our tight trails, my brother is looking to sell his DS and buy a Canondale, the DS is nice it is just too big around here. He is also only 160 LBs so the DS is quite a handful for him, but he rides it pretty damn good.

We are looking to go riding out west within the next few weeks maybe we can hook up, tomorrow I am going to thge races at Jolly Rogers In NH.

It does sound like you described the Raptor. The DS and Shee are also good choices (But Raptor being #1 of course) .

went riding with friends today, took both quads, cuz i wanted to try out a reed spacer on my blaster.
This dude with a 400ex shows up and thinks he's the stink with his wheelies and smokin my 200cc blaster. a real tough guy....so,
i went back to the pits, put on my blue thor gear, etc, and rolled the Raptor off the trailer.
went cruzin out into the big pit lookin for this clown and found him....loading his 400ex on the trailer!!! hehe
what are YOU gonna buy?

either get the banshee the number 1 duner and drager with mods or if you more concerned about the trails the Raptor will also work well in the dunes and awesome in the trails and everywhere else

ok i dont get it the raptor and the shee are close in size so why do you think the raptor is sooo much better on the trails i have road both and own a shee i dont ride it much any more but i road it hard for three years in the dunes, trails and raced it. i dont have any complaints. personally i think it is the best all around quad.
and to the coment "i dont like working on two strokes" then keep it up and you should not have to that much not much more than a four stroke. any body that really knows about two strokes would know thats true. ask people that race a 426 or a 450 they work on the top ends alot.

so any way i think you should go out and ride all the quads your intrested in see what one you think will fit your needs the best. from what you say you ride like i think you will be thrilled with the power of the banshee and its all around capability. dont let people tell you it is no good for the track or trails thats bs.
i know i said i dont ride mine much any more but that is because i build a quad just for racing and thaat is what i do the most. but there is still nothing like getting on my shee and just going out and having fun.

trails and dunes? i'd say raptor. narrow for the trails and power for the dunes.
