Does anybody actually own one of these machines???? You know the ones, posted in magazines for msrp. I have never seen team alba anything where I ride, and I was thinking of getting one. I was looking toward the banshee or raptor. Please give me your thoughts on the Alba bikes.

A friend of mine looked into them and he found out that by the time Alba charges you for shipping and setup, the price works out to be about the same as if you bought a stock quad from your local dealer and bought the aftermarket parts and put them on yourself. If I remember correctly, the shipping and setup costs were around $1500!

I bought a Warrior and put the Alba Pipe kit on it. It includes pipe, K&N filter, jetting and everything they list on the quad minus the Alba graphics. May as well let them do it for you!
You are in CA, right? I'd say if you are within driving range then it would probably be worth it.

If I had it to do over, I would have gotten my Z from them!! A friend has one of their Raptors. I think you get a pipe, K&N, and rejet for free. They have additional upgrades, for additional $. If you had to pay shipping, it might not be worth it??? If you can drive down there, that's the way to go.

I thank you all very much for your info. I do live in driving distance, well sort of. I am now thinking of holding off to see if they will do something with the Kawi 700. I do think I will price the bikes out the door though. You all haven't said anything about the bikes not performing as well as they should, so I will give it a shot.

hate to rain on the parade, but i do have a bad experience to let you in on.

a guy had a team alba raptor with the pipe, fiter, graphics, etc. the basic msrp offered kit. it was louder than all hell, but he had about 15 or so discs in. he also had some skat haulers.

he and i were about the same size, and we were about the same speed all the way. the outcome of the race depended soley on the holeshot. my raptor is an 03 and it is bone stock with a set of skat extremes.

just one experience, so take it as you wish.
