DS 650 V/S RAPTOR
Having owned both I feel qualified enough to voice my opinion.
The DS would always nip the raptor by a couple of bikes, my raptor would pull away only to lose by a few, why ? hell who knows but its the truth. I just think the DS is so ugly I sold it for a banshee for my 16 yr old, still wouldnt trade either for my raptor. I win more than I lose and thats what makes me happy.

Tommyboy84.......Line up a Raptor next to a DS650.......there is no comparison...........the DS weighs more....because its a sturdier machine......handles great and no aftermarket a arms or axel is needed to stabbilize it..........my friend has a Raptor......he says he should have bought a DS...could have saved $1500 in aftermarket stuff just to get it to handle like a DS....plus the DS is alot cheaper.........i bought mine when the 2002's came out..........paid 5800 out the door.........plus it beat a cannondale in a drag when it was stock

go with a rap its lighter and when you get a pipe on it they go pretty good or even better a 686 or the big 725kit
the ds does have more stock hp but im pretty sure there pretty close stock to stock but i think once its piped vs piped the rap pulles away cause it gets more out of the pipe then the ds that jmo
btw i'm don't think that a piped shee would lose to a stock rap it shouldn't happen
good luck on your decision

They are totalley diffrent machines ,I ride with my buddy who rides a baja and they are just diffrent but both good quads ,just depends wich one you like,i like my raptor ,just seems more nimble and lite for me to throw around ,My buddy is 6'4" so the Baja is good for him.....
