I'd have to agree on that, these gas gas's are already pretested and rode in italy for awhile they are street legal machines over there and also used in endurance races so they are proven to work they are nota general first year quad

 

the gas gas is prolly the fastest stock they have the most hp as i see so far

 

Hey, I own a 03 LE Raptor with minimal mods and it's awsome. Granted I am not a seasoned rider, But after tipping her over a couple times you learn to accomidate with more body english. My buddy I ride with owns a DS650Baja, I rode it this weekend and I felt it was weak considering it has the same Mods. I quess weak isn't the right term. It just wasn't for me and I am so damn happy I didn't buy one. Although, if stable compared to a truck with a swing arm is what you are looking for then get the DS. My buddy is very happy with it, and hated the way the front end pointed to the sky on the Raptor with any touch of the throttle. As for the Z400, I rode with one this last weekend and it was impressive. Not much top end, but hey it's a 400. I think the Z was badass

 

I would have to vote for the Predator. I hate polaris but i rode one and they flat out hall. No I dont own one I have a 250r

 

Like Lap and LT250 suggested, go ride them all. See what fits you. There's a ton of narrow minded people out there. See what fits you and YOUR needs. There are a ton of great choices out there, great time for shopping around.

You guys are putting your own opinions on to an open face question, what's the fastest production quad? I believe the answer to that question will no doubt be the GASGAS. 300cc power valve 2 stroke with Ohlins shocks is hard to beat, almost seems like a bargain for $7500.

 

or you could always buy the blue legend! the 17+ year proven BANSHEE!, its cheaper than most you have your eyes on and its probably faster than them all(except cannondale)

Yes the stock Banshee doesnt do it for me anymore, I have one and Id say its comparable to the z400 and 400Ex's in speed I have a z400 also and the z is definetly a better quad for mx for straight lines get the banshee but highly modded, I also have a new gas gas 300 and Im telling you its the quad to have very fast very comfortable powerband and you dont have to do anything to it its already done for much less than what the cannondale will run you, and its a better overall machine the shocks are better ohlins on the gas gas than on the cannondales the motor puts out more hp i do believe not too mention its got the roll design copy frame with chrome a-arms and axle

 

The C-dale is faster than the Banshee... the GasGas is faster than the C-dale, but somehow, the Banshee is faster than the GasGas.
