i ride mine out in the country where i live. river bottom creek crossing sand bars open fields timbers roads that i aint suupose to ride on..trails abbandoned rail road tracks and atv parks... i ride my quad how ur suppose to ride ride to have fun i dont beat my quad all the time just on occasions then it gets cleaned after i cant see the plastic ne more...my kewlest storty would be me and my friend were our riding i had my warrior and he had his blaster and we went to a dirt track an rode and i never really jumped that much just on a few home made jumps and he has never really jumped it much and he went slow off a double and was in between the jump and the landing and i came and it was like the 5th lap or so and i hit it at about 45 mph or so and i flew directly over him and i landed like 6 ft in front of him and after that lap he said wtf are you doint that scared the f%^%ing sh*i out of me .. he had no clue i was flying over him... and my next memory is me and my friend with the blaster were riding and a kid came over with his t wolf and he rolled it 3 times in about an HRs. time once in a field with a Big wash out in it and then in a ditch he was riding along and plop it rolled then he went up this hill on the old rail road tracsk i made it with the warrior the blaster made it the ac250 that was riding with us my bro made it then it was the Twolf and he tried like 5 times then he went almost made ti started coming up so he left off and hit the back brake and it rolled end over end and landed on the handle bars and took out a poor tree and slid down the hill till it hit a tree those are just a few good times i have had and the funniest..

glad to hear your responses!!! those sound like some good times and glad to hear you guys are having fun with yur sports and not letting your clutch hold ya back. i ve got some stories but nothing 2 exiting. i have a mile of private trails on about 3 arces. the trails are pretty cool they got any terrain you could think of (no sand were i live). theres hills, spaces between trees just wide enogh for the quad, twisting in all ways, and god knows whats around the corner. there pretty cool, but i rather ride on a track. just my 2 cents.

I still call mine a sport quad cause it's not set up enough for me to call it a racer just yet. But I am pretty damn rough on my quad. I only race MX with mine, and snow and mud won't compare to the crap that MX and XC will put a quad through. Tell your friend that you can't brake a 300ex (practically the same thing as a 250X) and that when I had mine, I rode it like it was a damn utility. NEVER had a problem with mine. I should have put a snorkle on that little quad. I've had the exhaust completely under water, I've had mine so muddy that you couldn't even tell what kind of quad it was, I've ridden in snow so long that the wheels looked like that had those mud caps on them, but it was just snow built up in the wheels, I've hit hill climbs that were impossible, got half way up and then took a nice tumble back down... then I got back on my quad and tried another hill . You know what you say to people like your friend? Quit being such a douche and see if you can brake that F'n quad!

My previous quad was a 98 BigBear and it became boring real quick. The only time it was fun to ride was in the snow!
Since I lost my drivers license due to a medical problem 5 years ago and don't have a chance in hell of getting it back combined with the fact that 50 is right around the corner, the need for a HOT ROD set in! I happened to go to a friend of mines dealership fall open house and there it sat! A white Z400! I did some research on the machine and was overwhelmed by the aftermarket possibilities! I guess somewhere thru all of this I must have missed the part that said this sport quad is only to be ridden in dry, dust free, mud free 85 degree sunny weather! LOL! The only part that had me a little concerned was the warning that it was to be ridden by experienced riders only! Since I use to road race a GSXR I used that to justify that I was an experienced rider! Well everything was in place and she came home with me just before Christmas!
The first time out it was sort of warm and the riding area that I have use of was kind of muddy and it was probably better that it was as it allowed me to get a feel for the machine without having to worry about getting to much traction that might have sent me flying which in my condition is not something I would care to do! I was only out for about an hour and a half and came home with this big GRIN on my face and the Z christened in a coat of mud! I knew I had made no mistake and my Z400 is indeed my HOT ROD! The next time out was on Christmas day as it had been snowing since the night before and there was about 6" on the ground and you talk about fun! Since I was still breaking the Z in I was of course very carefull as to not fully pin the throttle broadsiding it and then when that dirt mound showed up in front of me and I got her in the air and she behaved so gracefully, I was hooked! So far my Z has seen mud, snow, ice, wet grass and mildly dusty conditions. I am GLAD that I MISSED that part about only fairweather riding or else I wouldn't be having so much fun! LOL!
I thought that when I got my Z that I would leave it stock for awhile, NOT!!! I have a CFM-Performance aluminum no lid airbox coming with a K&N filter and outerware as well as a jet kit and a set of X-line bars and billet clamp. As I used to be a car and motorcycle mechanic slash power freak, I already see the dollar signs adding up but according to a bumper sticker that my wife got for me, it says,'Enjoy Life This is NOT a DRESS REHEARSAL'! So tell that friend of yours to get bundled up and break that thing out and have some fun!

cool! sport quads seem to be the all around type. and yes i agree that he is a baby, i've tried to tell him that but he makes up these reasons not to. i have a utility and do more sport things with that then he does with his race ready 250X. i do everything with mine, i jump it. race it, climb hills with it, go through mud and on trails. the only thing he does is go on the trails, souds boring. anyway i cant wait till i get a port quad!!!
