yea im in a totally different part of atving. i have a utility and after riding some of the quicker machines like grizzlies and even kodiaks, i wish i had got something faster. but now im thinking about just getting something like a 300ex or a warrior in addition, this thread though is just showin how things are bad on all of them and things are good on all of the them he more i read and try to figure stuff out the more i get confusedlol oh well might as well pick one and ride cause thats what its all about

 

I have a pretty new Beartracker and I'm thinking about getting a Mojave too. My brother had one that was an 86 model and it never had any problems. He weighs about 230 pounds and could do a wheelie through 4th gear. That thing accelerated like a rocket and ran great until his barn burnt down and he got a new Polaris Scrambler. Mojave is easily as fast as a 300ex.

 

300ex because its faster and you'll have more fun

 

You can have fun on ANYTHING you ride. as for the EX v.s. the Mojave,the mojave has been labeled the Best Tight-trails Quad and the ATV that puts a smile on the riders face everytime they ride it. that came from "ATV connection" itself. as for the performance, there near even, but for the price of a stock EX, amagine what kind of Mojave you can build, that gives you about 800-900 dollars to play with.
(thats why im choosing it over the EX) but both the EX and the mojave are great quads when it comes down to enjoying yourself.

So I hear SuperTrapp makes the best pipe for the Mojave....I had a FMF MegaMax2 on mine and liked it a lot although it should have been rejetted. Whenever you add a pipe or filter you should always rejet it the power gain is incrediable! I went with a UNI 2 stage filter on my mojave...I heard stories of K&N filters falling off of mojave's?!?!?

 

Heres the lowdown
-Both engines are bulletproof
-Mojave has more power potential with its high-tech engine and liquid cooling
-300 has the clear upperhand in handling, suspension and comfort
-I think the 300 is a better machine but you said your friend is on a budget and the Mojave is 700 bucks cheaper
-I'd get the 300 but this is an EX owner speaking

 

I would go with the mojave it's cheaper and about equal to a 300ex,but the 300 might be a few mph faster,with the extra $700 your saving with a mojave you can add a pipe,jet kit,and air filter and more stuff to outrun the 300.

 

mabye so, but the mojave is not as dependable as the 300, I got one 3 months ago and havent had to touch it yet, except adjusting the chain.
