Z250 beats 300EX

why does everyone try to throw a modified form into the question?
OBVOIOUSLY THATS NOT WHAT WAS ASKED!
I'm not doubting your bike goes 72mph
with a 14 tooth front sprocket on a full race 330 motor i was able to hit pretty fast too, never got to clock it, but it would top out about 5 bike lenghts in front a 400ex, not to mention destorying it everywhere else too!

yah i agree with ozarkrider, a 300ex doing 72?????
hate to burst your bubble but, a stock 300ex will do 54-55 TOPS. that's a factual speed, i got it out of dirtwheels mag. it does depend on the wieght of the rider yes, but generally speaking. that's an accurate speed

what mods are on the 300ex that will make it do 72? i say it would need pipe, airfilter, cam, valves, bore+stroke, porting, taller gearing , taller tires and nobody on it with ducktape holding the throttle wide -open then maybe it will do over 65.ha ha

Dirtgirl, To be honest unless you put a different engine in which case it isn't a 300ex or had your engine built with about 5000-7000 worth of mods including nitrous your 300ex isn't going to approach 70 miles an hour. It might be possible to come close to 65 MAX. That motor and tranny isn't stong enough to handle that kind of horsepower, period. These are simple facts. The 300ex was tested against a Z-250 and it lost, period! The "dated" 300ex is no match for the superior technology of the Z-250! Better luck next time!

So you going to tell me that the radar gun was wrong? OK... believe what you want I don't care.... I am not getting into one of these silly arguments...
OH BTW that 72mph was full out all it had.. I never said I got it to hit that speed in 100ft or whatever. It took a couple miles to get it up to that speed..
