Hi anybody know the top speed of the 250Z. I saw one this weekend beat a 300EX in a drag (100yard) and it had a higher top speed. ANy impressions of this quad would be nice. Anybody who doesnt believe me well thats too bad because i saw it with my own 2 eyes.

 

top speed is 55, maybe hinting at 60 wide a$$ open on highway. it's a nice quad, dependable, peppy, speedy, and fun.

 

is that true speed, as in on a GPS or just estimated?

 

yeah, it's an accurate speed. my friend has his taken with a laser gun going down the highway at 55mph. and if you put mods on it, it'll get near 60

 

What mods would put it at 60?

 

The only mods that will increase the top speed are a new CDI that will give you a higher rev limit, or larger tires, you can do motor mods, exhaust mods, cams, porting, etc. until your all out of money, and never gain top speed, but you will get to top speed faster.

 

The reason that person on the Z250 beat the one on the 300EX is probably because the Z250 is an automatic and the one on the 300EX did not know how to shift all that great, or missed a gear somewhere. It isn't because the Z250 has more power or anything - call it rider error.... [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] I know the 300EX will go over 60mph... mine has been radared at 72mph for the top speed on it... My neighbor across the street is a police and he checked it for me.

 

a 300ex sees like 54mph at the top end........

 

I hope you mean in totally stock form and with the airbox lid on... Never said mine was stock..
