As you can probabally tell by my name, I know quite a bit about radar too. Unless a radar gun is properly calibrated before use by the use of certain frequencey tuning forks it is going to be extremely unreliable. Try using a handlebar mounted GPS to determine your true speed. It is much more accurate than radar or a laser.

Yes to that distance, but one thing the Z250 will not do is out handle the 300EX.

I agree, handle bar mounted gps is the way to go......I dont trust radar runs or when people say they had a friend clock them with their car as they drove down the road. My totally stock 2003 raptor gpsd just a little over 72 mph (I think it was something like 72.2mph). There would have to be a lot, and I mean a lot of money to dump into a 300ex to hit 72mph. A stock 300ex has around 16-17 rwhp, a stock 400ex has around 26-27 rwhp and it tops out in the mid 60s. My lakota (300cc) with the standard mods that most people do hits around the 55-56 mph mark, I think that if the 300ex has the "normal" mods then it would be around the 57-58 mph range, maybe up around 60 mph depending on rider weight. Just my thoughts on all this.

Man I bet all those Rapter and V-force guys are going to be trading in their machines for 72 mph 300 ex's.

last time I raced a 300ex was with a 600 grizzly, he only beat me by 1 quad length. And a grizz 600 aint that fast.

if you take the ticket to court to dispute it, you can ask to see when the last time the gun was calibrated. if the calibration is not up to date, most judges will drop the ticket.
