Default I got my Dyna Ignition for the Z400 today

I guess if they are enlarging numbers they didn't bump up the raptor HP any? I wonder why?

It doesn't matter either way, no where in my post did i say my z400 kicked *** or the raptor sucks. I think a 720cc raptor is pretty cool but nothing i would i ever buy or build for myself.

When i was looking for a new quad i looked at everything. Predator(polaris...had bad luck in the past not going there again) Honda 400ex..the 400ex is an awesome quad, little outdated but capable of great things!....Raptor...cool bike, powerful...had its problems in the beginning.....Trannys, heard of axle problems......Z400, new..looked cool, never owned a Suz before....

I wanted a bike that i could ride mx, xc, trail ride, and do some wheelies and stuff without having to modify the suspesion or anything. I just want to hit the start button and go ride.

EVERYONE is first to point out early z400 problems, the raptor had the tranny problem and 1999 400exs had several complaints of cracked swing arms.

give it a break already. Just be happy we have a broad choice of what sport quads we want to ride. All we had before 99 was a warrior blaster banshee and 250x/300ex.!!

So raptors are for fat f@cks. That explains a lot why they get so defensive when a 400cc quad is nippin at it's heels (even with a 200lb guy on it).

No sand pigs are for the fat boys!! Raptor riders are suppose to be under 220 pounds acording to the warning label

Yup. Just went back and did a search on Ridley's posts. What a bunch of $hit talkin crap you constantly spew. What's wrong with your life? Over half of your posts are a waste of space on this board.

14mins, if a guy can't get more than 1 HP out of a Z adding a pipe he probably needs to rejet. I hardly think most of us believe for 1 second that you can remove a crimped up pea shooter on a 400 cc motor. You can get more than 1 HP out of a 150.

Why do 4 stroker's always argue about drag racing or brag about big hp results? It makes me giggle. Do any of you Autocross your Suburbans?

Just for fun,
Lets give a 450Z the benefit of the doubt that it could produce 55hp. I think we all might agree that is possible.
A 686 raptor would have to produce 83.48 hp ( Is that possible?) to create the same hp per cc. If the suzuki made tha same power to cc ratio that a 62 hp 686 made, the Suzuki would only produce 40.67 hp. Then the Raptor guy could have some real dirt to sling. Unfortunately, the Raptor motor is the less efficent of the bunch.
Some people don't want a drag race quad. And we all know that there is no replacement for displacement. But displaement hass created a taller and heavier quad the some people don not prefer.

No, I autocross my C5 vette, but I'm not concerned with drag racing or max power. for MX or autoX, it's all about how you put it down.

The bigger 4 stroke bikes are racing with the 250 bikes. They can and are making a lot more power now. Of course when you mod the crap out of a 2 stroke it gets insane and unmanageable and becomes a drag bike only.

It only took you 9 posts of bashing someone in the Suzuki forum (you Raptor guys always get in a huff if someone comes to your forum)to figure that out.
Maybe instead of insulting and name calling.....nevermind..... its par for the course...

The highest dyno 686 at 4SW was......67hp, is that right?
