A female weighs a 100-115. A 175lb plus guy will not make it up on a 416ex.. I weigh 190 w/ gear and expect to barely get up on my Dale.. There's no way in Heall my Dale could get up the Fingers to the left of the Face of Utah's Sand Mtn unless I could get a fourth gear run and I'd still be lucky to get up..

No sh*t i cant believe how much a Heavy Rider affects ones ability to climb a hill.A few weeks ago my buddy that weighs 250 Pounds with a 2003 Rapter (piped,Air Filter Mod,Straight Paddles) repeatedly attempted Choke and could only make it 3/4 up.He let this rider that weighed 150 Pounds ride his Raptor and he made it on the 1st try on the same bike.

Manufactures try and make a selling point for their pipes by saying they save 3-8 lbs. Stop eating cheeseburgers abd that will do more.
I saw the videos from Devils Dune!!!!! WHolly Molly that thing is just STEEP. Looks scarier than Choke Cherry!

 

I'm going back down there in a couple of weeks. My goal for the whole trip is to get a picture of Devils Dune that will do it some justice. I'm going to shoot a ton of angles etc. When you are looking at it from where you head downward across the bottom and hit that thing straight on, I swear, it is hugely intimidating. Much more so than Choke Cherry. It feels like it's straight up too. Great fun!!

 

Ive ridden St Anthony since 1999.Ive climbed both hills and Choke is more intimidating and steeper than Devils Dune.Choke you usually hit in 3-4 gear because you cant get as big of a run at it .Devils is cool cause the takeoff is down hill and smooth and you can get up in your last gears pinned (FUN)Devils dune is way cool to just look at.But Choke is the steepest most intimidating hill in my opinion.
