Z400 clutch lever replacement
#1
i took the parking brake off my z400 and now i'm stuck with this big *** bracket that part of my clutch lever brackets. can anyone tell me a good source for finding the lever assembly i need. also there is sort of rubber square piece sticking out of the assembly with a wire leading from my start button it appears. if not for that i'd just replace the lever and ride on. is that what causes me to pull the clutch in when i crank it? where can i stick that thing where it's nice and neat? i really need some help guys i've got a big riding trip on saturday and my bikes in a few pieces thanx

you can use any aftermarket clutch lever but you might have to use the adjustment on the cable itself (its about a foot from the end of the cable close to the handle bar clamps) as for the two wires you can just cut them and splice them together its just a hassle for me its a lot easier to start if you kill it during a race or trail riding. I put the magura hydraulic clutch on mine and love it. I'll never own a cable clutch again!

jcsact - Where did you get the black rubber piece that replaced your oem one? I have been thinking of modifying my Raptor clutch handle cuz I took the e brake off too. Looks kinda funky with it all hanging out there.

Took my raptor Clutch handle down to my brothers shop and cut off the top layer with all the e brake stuff, buffed it and placed those rubber gaurds on and it looks sweet. Thanks for sharing your information. Now I am going to do the same thing to the Z.
