I am looking for a bolt on spark arrestor for the pipe, is there a place that sells them that you know of? I tried Chaparral, Rockymountain and of course my dealer and know one can help me. I have seen them on photos but never could find one to purchase. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The JR 50's come stock with a spark arrester...built in with the muffler.

 

I didnt notice one on my 1985 model and have seen some with an added one on the end.

 

Oh, didn't realize what year it was...my son's 1996 has one built right in. Hope you can get one for your JR.

An easy way to tell is to look at the muffler for the USFS approved spark arrestor stuff stamped into it.

If it doesn't have the stamp, it doesn't have a spark arrestor....

 

yeah I can tell it dont cuz its just the expansion chamber and it just gets smaller at the end and thats it.
