lt250r value

How much would this 86 lt250R be worth? It has a rebuilt motor top and bottom and a new cluch. About 10 Hrs. The swing arm has been welded (Cracks) but it's solid now. The paint on the frame is not pretty. The plastic is "OK", not the best but all there. It could also use a seat cover. Mechanically the bike is good it's just kinda ugly. It has an after market headlight (that works).
It rides good and is very fast, I just want a 4 stroke.

I would say that for the condition, year and everything considered, you are looking at a fair price of about 1000-1500 depending on how long since a top end job, how good is the rear axle bearing, and the chain and sprockets. If you want to get around 2000 for it,these things must be fixed and the frame touched up with the plastic sanded and cleaned or new plastic (230.00) added. Also the tires are a factor. They dont have to be great, just not ready to blow. Good luck.

I got mine in Febuary...
My rear plastic was broke, and it is faded flourescent pink (someone had a sense of humour when choosing colors)
rear bearings, chain and sprockets were completely screwed.
Rubber? whats that?
Rear has Ice racing tires(No studs)
Fronts are stock from 86.
Good Stuff...
It had motor rebuilt last year
I did the repairs cheap
I love riding it though...
Here in Toronto u can get 2,200 for a good 86
I picked mine up for 1,200
about 300 for parts
In US bucks I guess it would go for about 1300.
