help with sprocket

Default help with sprocket

ok i know this ounds like a stupid ? and i think i now the answer but i just want to make sure. i have a 99 lt 160 and i want to get more speed out of it i already have a k&n filter on it and it helped alot but i found some sprockets at rocky mountin for cheap i was wondering if i should go smaller for top speed in the front or bigger. and should i go smaller or bigger in the back for more top speed i want to get both spocket i just want to now what will give me more speed.

i just got done regearing my 230s and it is the biggest speed improvement ever. For more top end you go bigger in the front and smaller in the back. For more torque you go smaller in the front and bigger in the back. Good Luck!

you're wasting your money. if you go up one tooth with the front sprocket it's like going down three in the back. if you change the front and rear I bet you'll have virtually no torque. especially in a little 160. sounds pretty dumb to me... besides, if you've got a raptor (I assume you do by your name) why are you wasting your money modifying an LT160?

oh well, it's your money. sprockets are cheap anyway.
