Z250 Frame Cracking
#1
I noticed yesterday when I was cleaning my Z250 that the paint was chipping around the welds on the a-arm mounts. I haven't noticed the metal cracking yet, but I remember that with the Z400, when the paint started chipping that usually meant that it was starting to crack. Has anybody else had this problem? Just wondering

Its very common for the paint to flake around weld joints on the frame and suspension parts. After they weld the part they don't get the welded area clean enough before they paint it and the paint doesn't stick very good and it flakes off after a while.

Most of the places where the paint is chipping the metal looks clean, there isn't any slag around them. My grandpa owns a welding business so I have dealt with that type of stuff before and it doesn't look like the paint would be chipping because of that. And the a-arm mounts are the only place that the paint is coming off, there aren't any other spots. I would have him re-weld the mounts now before they do crack, but I don't want to void the warrenty in case other people are having this problem too and then Suzuki might pay for it.
