OK, after some intense negotiating (lol, you know how that goes) with the dealer, we got them to bump the sale price down to MSRP. The lady said that $5,699 is the best price around, she said we'd have to go to like Utah to get a better price. Well, out the door we left with a $6,200 (a little less actually) dent in the wallet. Was she lying? I called around some, I guess we could have gotten it for like $100- $200 cheaper at some other dealer, not a big deal, these guys are the closest too. We've bought a LT80, KX85, and a KX60 from them before, so I guess that really helped them come down on the price (so she said). Well, it was brand new (duh), no pipes, nothing, completly stock. If you dont kind, how much did you guys get yours for, and what state are you in? Im in Washinton State.

I've seen ads for $5000. to $5200. before tax and all other fees. I'd say that a person should be able to get on OTD for no more than the retail price of $5699. and actually a few hundred less than that. Sales men and woman lie!

 

I was assuming that you were talking about a Z400. What kind were you talking about?

The salesman told me a price of $11,600.00 for both out the door. I told him I would not pay much more than List price out the door ($3895.00 for the 250 and $5699 for the 400). He came back with $10,800.00 then I told him $10,000. He told me we will just have to wait Monday for the finance Office to open then he could work a better price and that All they had at the LOW price and in stock was YELLOW. He told us he would call us Monday on his day off. We went home one hour away. Monday My wife called the Madera Dealer and with out even telling him what Fresno Quoted he told her $10,000 for both and 20% any Accessories. A few Minutes Later the Fresno Salesman called and told me the best he could do is $10,600. I told him that we got the 10K price from Madera and he was shocked and said that is the best he could do. OK I said. then he called back about 10 minutes later and said I can have any color I wanted and he would Deliver it 45 miles up the mountain to us for 10 K OTD. I told him to forget it that he should have gave us the price and color we asked for the first time.

So we got the Z400 for 6K OTD and the Z250 for 4 K OTD the only extra we paid was Sales tax in fresno is 8% and then the DMV Green Sticker fees not the $488 for each bike for set up fees.

Salesmen pi$$ me off! I had one idiot let me walk for $30. I went to the next place and told the salesman the deal I wanted and even he couldn't believe the idiot let me walk! (Hey,........I know it was only $30 but it was the principle of it, you know). I know salesmen got to make $$$$ too but some is better than none especially when there are other dealers with the same product therefore the market was mine NOT THEIRS like they try to make you believe. I paid $6000 cash OTD with the 3 or 4(?) year warranty in November. That's in Cali!!! We always get raped out here[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/img]

 

my dealer is awsome, can do any kind of work or custum mod and they are kool to talk to. Just all around kool guys. Got mine for 5700 out the door with the 4 year extended warrenty. Yeah dude, if i was you I'd walk funny for a week cuz you got screwed!!! Not to bad though, I've heard worse stories but by the same token she straight up lied to you.
