I have both and they each have advantages. As for speed the YFZ is much quicker and handles better but it is rev happy and hates water. Keep the Z and enjoy it unless your racing for cash. If you want to be fast then get the work done. No mods are equal, be very selective with your engine builder. I have a Blaster, yes a Blaster that is modded and it will smoke a stock 400EX or a piped and will run with a banshee till about 4th gear. I am saying this to say with the correct amount of money anything is possible.

Rumor has it that Curtis Sparks is building Z400's that run with the fastest Raptors. Some guys have seen them running at Pismo. Can anyone confirm this.
