Buying Quadracer 250
#11
yeah its cool i didnt know much when i first started getting into atvs about 5 years ago either but then after about 2000 magazine articles and a fully built race quad ive learned much.. ha and im only 18 lol... but yeah that rubberband like cord u are talking about is a tether kill switch most ppl install them for racing... the deal sounds pretty good since it includes a 2 quad trailer but it all depends on what kind of shape the atv is in... if it is running right now it might be ok remember this is around a 15 year old quad... its prolly been through some ruff times in its many years... i just bought a 87 lt250r a couple weeks ago for 700 dallas but it needs some tlc.... HA HA my next project cant wait..... so jsut go over it good and take some one with you that knows a lil about atv's so you dont get stuck with a 250 thats gonna break down in 2 weeks when you are 20 miles into the woods

Thanks a ton, the would suck to have it break down. The guy said hed take me out riding with it to check it all out. He doesnt want me to get it if its to much for me. He said some stuff about boring and pistons pipes or whatever and I just looked at him like "sure i know what that is lol" Im 28 so you got a few years on me. It looks pretty good tho shape wise no cracks or tears and it did not apear the motor leaked. One thing tho, is there a way to quiet it a bit? I went to yamaha and looked at a quad that purred like a kitten when it started, I believe it was a 80 something, It would be for my wife. It was real quiet tho and this suzuki is hella loud =). Thanks!

You have a quadracer, but I would stop refering to the on/off switch as the electric start. Second, that rubber band looking thing is an emergency tether kill switch. That has bypassed the on/off switch. You hook that tether to yourself so if you fall off, it unhooks and kills the quad. Next, the on/off switch really doesn't have anything to do with the light. The light's on/off switch may be bad. My advice is find someone who knows how to work on them and have them help
