Default opinions on 10 inch RIMS z400

i am deciding wether or not to get 10 inch rims, rumors say that there would be a greater chance of wrecking the rim because the tire would have a low side wall, any recommendations on size?i ride in very rocky terrain up here in mass.thanks

I had them on my R and I wouldn't recommend them. The problem is that to keep from denting the rims you have to keep them pumped up. And when you have are running high pressure in the tires you loose traction.

Example the few times I took it the R to the track I had to have them pumped up so hard that the bike would slide all over the place and just spin it's wheels. I let out some of the pressure and it would grab but I flatspotted the rims in several places.

After that I went to a 18" tire on 8 inch wheels. This is the best combo in my opinon, you could run the tires really low for extreme traction and never hit the rim.
