LRD for motor work or someone else??
i need to get my lower end rebuilt for my 88 LT250r. im from connecticut and want to know if there is any local shops near me that will do a good job and that i can trust to do it right? im in the NE corner of CT so rhode ishland and parts of MASS are local to me. does LRD do lower end rebuilds? what is the rough cost of the lower end rebuild?

I'm sure LRD does lower end rebuilds. You can check out their site here. I would also consider Trinity Racing, Duncan, or East Coast ATV. They are all good builders. I would try East Coast first since you're around that area and it wouldn't cost as much to ship it.

FTZ Performance does bottom ends, and they know the LT like the back of their hand. They actually stock bottom end parts, or at least they've had them for same day shipping when I've needed them.
Whoever you pick, call them before you send it. See what they have to say, and feel them out. Ask them if they stock bearings, seals, and gaskets. If they don't, that alone will up to a couple of weeks for the time it takes them to finish it.
