I bought my Eiger auto 4x4 three weeks ago. I road my buddies' Polaris, Grizzly and Bombadier. The perform as well as all of them plus is better priced and the Hi-lo 4WD will go up every hill and dune I have hit. Stay away from YAMAHA's . (cheap design and lack of throttle response) Eiger 400 auto is responsive and can be thrown around. Like any 4WD it is front heavy over jumps.
Cheap Design????????? Lack of throttle response?????????? YFZ=ALL throttle response, my bikes have more throttle response than you would think possible!!!! My GRIZZLY will WASTE your Eiger in a drag race ANY day!!! As far as design!!! Think what you will, the belt drive on the Yamaha's are superior to the Zuki's!! Also, with the Yamaha's, Kodiac 450 Grizz etc. you have the choice of a DIFF LOCK!!! You can say what you will about the other's but the fact is Yamaha outsells Zuki(reason them and Kawi teamed up to save money) all day everyday!!! The Kodiac 450 will in fact go where the Zuki never could(diff lock)! When the New King Quad comes out that may all change though! But never say Yamaha's have a cheap design or lack of throttle response, because there are plenty of bikes built by yamaha that are designed just as good or better and have better throttle response then you give them credit for!!! At least Yamaha doesnt have to team up with 2 other manufacturers(Artic Cat, Kawi) to build a quad that ALL 3 manufacturers have with different plastics!!!!! NOW THAT IS DEFINATELY "DESIGN" if I have ever seen it!

FYI - I road the KODIAK , because that was my original choice, but it was an honest dog to the eiger auto. And for the type riding in the desert I do the Eiger is the best bang for your buck. And if I was gonna spend the kind of money for a grizzly, I would prefer to buy a Polaris which is a more smooth riding, comfortable "QUAD"(not bike) than the grizzly. Oh, I'm sorry , you convinced me, I think I will get a TRI-MOTO. Forget it , I'd rather have a Sears Lawn mower for the backwoods of Alabama.

My 2002 eiger with 175 miles pops and appears to backfire when throttle is release and/or gears are shifted. Any help I would appreciate.

Clean carb and bowl, or possible kink in fuel line
