So if your neck isn't strong enough its cool to smack your face into the back of a car without a helmet?
And open faced helmets stop this how?

You don't think that driving a top fuel is slighlty more dangerous than driving to the store? It's not a simple point because they 2 aren't comparable.
That's the whole point if you read my original post. The laws are argued on the point that pro racers wear helmets so the general public should too.

Of all the people I've known that died in motorcycle acidents, not one would have been saved by a helmet. Most of their fatal accidents involved some idiot behind the wheel of a car crossing the centerline, or pulling out in front of them off a side road. Helmets don't stop internal bleeding, either. Maybe everyone should have to wear chest protectors, that would save lives, too. Why are all of you so big on just helmets, why not make bike riders of America spend crap loads of money on leathers, chest protectors, knee and elbow pads, over the calf boots, gloves, etc. You know there was a time when lap belts were good enough to save your life, but not anymore. So maybe just a helmet isn't good enough anymore either. So call your congressman and tell him you want helmets and full leathers laws implemented. And why do American dealers sell bikes that do 200mph when the highest speed limit is 75mph. Maybe all streetbikes should be governed to 80 mph from the factory. That would save a couple of lives, too. Why not outlaw all atv's since they cause polution that shortens our lifespan, just like not wearing a helmet. When does it end onc it gets started? Get the point yet? Less Gov. more freedom you commi's.

It seems to me alot of people are getting hurt or killed on ATV's because of there own ignorance, not the machine's design flaws. I've read in the paper at least 5 times this summer, how someone was killed by an accident on an ATV that could of been prevented...one case, a 3 year old boy riding double with his father- who was drunk. This just fuels the fire for the people who want the regulations...Accidents happen, we all know that, but it's the ones that could of been prevented are the ones that get all the attention.
